Type 304 stainless steel alloy is part of the T-300 series of austenitic stainless steels. It contains up to 18% chromium and 8% nickel, with a carbon content of 0.08%, making it a nickel- and chromium-based austenitic alloy. Grade 304 SS plates are standard 18-8 stainless steel commonly found in kitchenware products. The alloy is known for its excellent welding and forming properties, oxidation and corrosion resistance, deep drawing quality, toughness, ease of fabrication, ease of cleaning, and attractive appearance.
