It is made up of chromium, nickel, manganese, molybdenum, and iron. The minimal composition of 20% chromium, 11% nickel, and 4% manganese gives the material its strength and corrosion resistance.
The Alloy 50 Rod meets ASTM, ASME, and API requirements, including ASTM A276 and A479 specifications. The bars and rods are available in 6mm to 300mm diameters, lengths ranging from 1m to 6m, and cut-to-length sizes. The bars are also available in a variety of finishes, including brilliant, gloss, and black, as well as various shapes such as round, square, and hexagonal. The XM-19 Flat Bar has a high hardness of 241BHN, a minimum tensile strength of 95ksi, and a minimum yield strength of 50ksi. The material can operate at both high and low temperatures.
